Terry Anne Meeuwsen

Featured Guest Speaker

Terry Anne Meeuwsen was born and raised in the Green Bay area of Wisconsin, where she grew up the oldest of four siblings. Gifted from a young age, Terry developed her God-given voice talent, eventually moving to Los Angeles and joining the New Christy Minstrels. Her two-year tour with the group yielded seven recordings and included international travel and a slew of appearances on major television talk and variety shows. In 1973, Meeuwsen was crowned Miss America, and after devoting a memorable year to fulfilling her duties in that role, she returned to acting and singing.
Shortly thereafter, in 1976, Meeuwsen began working as a host in TV broadcasting at the NBC affiliate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She quickly became a familiar face on The 700 Club in the early 1980’s, appearing on the program many times as a guest cohost. After taking time off from her successful career in 1986 to devote more time to her growing family, she returned to the broadcasting world in 1993. For more than 30 years Terry has been the warm engaging personality greeting 700 Club guests and viewers every morning. Serving as cohost with Pat and Gordon Robertson, the trio have shared the love of God with millions of viewers from CBN’s studio headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Terry is an accomplished author, with four titles to her name, including The God Adventure, a story of God’s power and purpose in her life. A lifelong advocate for children, Terry and her husband Andy have seven kids, including five adopted children. It was this passion for adoption that led Terry to launch Orphan’s Promise in 2006. Orphan’s Promise is CBN’s ministry to children around the world; taking vulnerable children from at-risk to thriving, and is at work in more than 60 countries globally.
