El ROI is the name that refers to God as the “One who sees.”
Genesis 16: 11&13 for the Lord has heard your cry of distress Hagar. Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord – EL ROI…
She said, “You are the God who sees me.”
God is at the center of every storm. His “EYE” is upon us, especially in our distress… we may feel He doesn’t care, or that He doesn’t know, or that He doesn’t see… but He does see. Our God is EL ROI the ONE who sees you!
Ladies, Psalm 32:8 says He watches over you with His loving eye. He sees you, He sees what is happening during this crisis and He is working all things together for the good to those who love Him. (Romans 8:28)
2 Chronicles 16:9 For the “eyes” of the Lord look upon all the earth, to strengthen those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him.
Fact: The eye of the storm is often circular in shape…
Psalm 125:2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people both now and forever.
Psalm 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear (revere) Him and rescues them.
Ladies trust that God has His arms around you, can you hear Him whisper in your ear, “I’ve got you, you’re safe.”
Fact: The calm light winds within the eye contrast severely with the raging winds outside the eye…
Psalm 91:1 Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High… will find rest (peace) in the shadow of the Almighty.
God has you covered! Those who run to Him in the storm will experience peace even in the midst of the storm.
Philippians 4:7 And God’s peace shall be yours, that tranquil state of soul, that peace that transcends all understanding shall guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Fact: The winds that make up the edges of the eye are known as the eye wall. The eye wall keeps the severe winds outside of the eye.
Psalm 91:4 His faithful promises are your shield and bulwark. (a bulwark is a defensive wall)
His promises of protection are our eye wall! God promises to surround us with a supernatural wall of defense to keep the enemy out!
Zachariah 2:5 The Lord Himself has promised to be a wall of fire around Jerusalem…
Fact: The sky above the eye is clear…
There is an open heaven above Jesus…
John 1:51 Truly I tell you, you will see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.
Know that His angels are being sent forth at this moment to guard you and protect you…
Psalm 91:11 or He will command His angels to guard you and to protect you wherever you go.
Prayer
Jesus we believe that You are with us in this storm! We have faith that even now You are rebuking this COVID-19 and that it will die down quickly and lose its power to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10) We trust that You will bring us safely to the other side of this storm, as You did with Your disciples. Amen.
